Well here are just a few benefits:

- Reduce check in time
- Swift searches on attendees
- Time stamp all arrivals and departures
- Immediate updates (head count)
Sounds good, too good to be true but let's check out the logistics of implementing such a service at your event:
Stations
Some suppliers provide branded stations that are aligned with your event for a small additional fee but if is not in your budget, then regular 'dressed up' cocktail tables is a cheaper alternative.
Electricity
Most electronic devices usually have their internal battery supply which provide a more seamless look for the event. However, based on the number of hours these registration areas remain active, a power supply is necessary.
Internet
Some databases are linked to servers located elsewhere and as such, rely on an internet source. If this is the case, talk to your provider about getting 'hot spots' to enable this feature or possibly working the system offline for the event.
Lighting
Depending on the time of and location of your event, you may still need some lighting for your registration team to operate with.
Database
If your attendees purchased tickets, then your database is pretty simple and based on the coding of the tickets. However, if they were specially invited, then certain attendee information maybe needed for the database. In the case of VIPs on your guest list and the need to provide special treatment, such names need to be highlighted for the provider.

i have never done an event before, however i have been thinking of getting involved with promotions. this is some info that i will use for he future. maybe you can save me the research trouble and pot some more stuff..

ReplyDeleteIt is no secret that I have a very deep and personal relationship with God. I have pushed and resisted that relationship this past year through all the bullshit I have had to go through living with Herpes but once again, God is bigger than my stubbornness and broke through that outbreak cold sore and all I had Genital Herpes. For me personally, hearing over and over how I am not good enough has really invaded my mind in the worst way possible.
